HECA - Who We Are

The Housing Enterprise of Central Alabama is a "community spirited" lender that provides financing to qualified for-profit and non-profit developers to build quality housing for people of modest means in the 12-county footprint. HECA operates with an initial lending capacity of approximately $56.5 million.

HECA serves as an umbrella organization and has a non-profit affiliate, the Housing Fund of Central Alabama.

• Six investor institutions own HECA: Regions Bank, Compass Bank, New South Federal Savings Bank, First American Bank, Aliant Bank and Superior Bank.
