What We Do
HECA's mission is to substantially increase the supply of moderately priced housing in neighborhoods across Central Alabama.
HECA accomplishes this by providing project financing for the purpose of constructing, acquiring and or rehabilitating single family and multifamily dwellings priced to accommodate low- and moderate-income families.
HECA and the Housing Fund of Central Alabama also may jointly provide gap financing and/or more aggressive construction and acquisition loans or investments to qualified projects. Loans can be structured to provide up to 100% project financing with limited recourse.
